#Afonso – Episode 6: A cold bed

Although feeling it had been the best call, Margarida was somewhat surprised when she felt her bed dead cold for so many nights in a row. She had not realized, however, that even before, even when Afonso was there, hardly anything would warm up, not even that blind passion stubbornly awake. And guess what… she had told him that “a life without passion is worthless, it neither warms us up nor fades the world away, it doesn’t captivate us; so we no longer care about chaotic memories and mirages… and then you gradually forget about it, frame by frame, as if we would never look back again”, as if she had never dared to kiss him on impulse, on a whim, knowing it could just go south from the start.

She slowly gave up, having no more coins left to play such riddles and kid games, those games played by people that don’t get that commitment is not black and white.
